Come celebrate the 20th anniversary of the the Tour de Bloc.
Bolder is incredibly psyched to be presenting the Alberta stop of this year’s Tour de Bloc in collaboration with Jackalope and Guru on July 22! Tour de Bloc will be making it’s way across the country from coast to coast, with stops at BoulderHouse in Langford, the one and only Bolder Climbing Community here in Calgary, Up the Bloc in Toronto, and Seven Bays Bouldering in Halifax.
This year, this event will be the first ACA sanctioned event for the 2023/24 session. Anyone who wants to use this comp to collect points towards their aca ranking needs to purchase their 2023/24 aca membership via the aca before July 22
The first place winners in both men’s and women’s categories will be getting a golden ticket to Jackalope’s finals in Montreal;

Our Tour de Bloc will be for open competitors only, however we’re doubling up on July 22nd with our very own scramble competition. This will be will be on the same set of boulders as Tour de Bloc, plus extra problems and will take place after the qualifier round.
Spectators are welcome all day; we’ll have drinks, food, prizes, and of course a show you won’t want to miss! After finals wrap up, we want to keep the night going and celebrate; stay tuned for the location of the official after party!
Format
This is a one-day competition with a modified qualifier scramble round, 8 problems and world cup finals.
Tour de Bloc’s registration will be for the Open categories only, however we’ll be doubling this day up with our full scramble citizen competition so if you’re looking to compete more casually or in the beginner/intermediate categories you can register for that instead!
